The Gingerbread House by Carin Gerhardsen
This is a twisted crime thriller that leaves a very disturbing nature of murder in vivid descriptive ways. I loved the characters and I felt you became a part of them and a part of the story taking place on each page. There are many twists and turns and just when you think you know what is happening the story alters itself again, giving the reader another satisfying criminal reality taking place. It felt like a crime show unfolding before you.
There are flaws in the story and certain spots I felt didn't fit or make sense, but ultimately it came to gather and satisfied me and gave me something to remember or at least certain moments of a descriptive, dark and disturbing nature taking place. I think this book is for more of the diehard crime novel lover. Simple mystery crime readers might not take to this book, but if you like thick crime stories, then give this ago.
